Course Description

Make your photos stand out from among the millions of other photos taken with the iPhone every day.

Do you want to take better pictures of your family or even want to use the iPhone camera professionally? This class is for you. You will learn how to take pictures with the iPhone, how to troubleshoot the most common issues, and use the best photo apps available.

Besides learning how to use the iPhone camera and apps, you'll learn techniques that can be used to create amazing images. You'll learn the art of composition, how to find great lighting and advanced techniques like long exposure and more.

At the end of this class, students will be able to take their digital photography from good to great, understand their camera controls and learn to put a little bit of themselves into every photo.

Classes will be made up of lectures, demonstrations, critiques and discussions. Students will be encouraged to share their work with the class. Each class will last 3  hours

The Art of Photography

Course Description

Raise your photography to the next level by learning how to capture amazing images. Students will learn by a combination of lectures, demonstrations, hands-on workshops and fun photo challenges. Everyone is encouraged to share their work with the class. Each class will last 2 hours.

Students are expected to have a working knowledge of photography fundamentals such as the exposure triangle, depth of field and composition. An understanding of their camera's controls is also very important, as is how to take images in Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual Modes. 

Shooting in RAW will be encouraged as will be editing photos in SnapSeed App or any other free software. A tripod, cable release are recommend. Using LightRoom or PhotoShop is optional.
