I came to Pinehurst from Massachusetts in 2007 to play golf, and never left.

These days, my time on the golf course is limited, but I do find time to documenting everything eastern North Carolina has to offer. You will find me traveling to photograph fleeting moments at the beach, dramatic skylines in Raleigh and, of course, back home to record all the beauty found in the historic Village of Pinehurst. My first love is golf, so capturing the experience of walking any number of famous course in the Sandhills of North Carolina is still my passion.

As the year 2020 began and my retirement loomed, I had an idea to travel the state meeting the people and visiting the places that make it special. So what better way to combine travel and photography than to write a book, thus the idea for "Manteo to Murphy" was born.

For the most part, I am a self-taught artist who finds joy in creating photographs that evoke a feeling. Working with light, shadows, color and textures, I hope to bring back a special memory to those the view my work.

Teaching and learning is another passion for me. I get great satisfaction seeing my photography students take their images from flat to fabulous. And, since we are all on the learning continuum, there is no better felling than learning and applying a new skill.

I hope you enjoy seeing my work and reading my blogs  as much as I have enjoyed doing it.
